About the Role

As a Software QA Automation Engineer, you will be a key contributor to the success of the software development department. We are looking for a candidate who has recent, solid test automation experience. Working closely with the Quality Assurance and development teams, you will be responsible for creating, running, reporting on, updating, and maintaining automated testing scripts and the required framework to support them. You will help drive the training of other team members on automation best practices and will contribute to the establishment of team processes and policies.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate with QA leadership to define and implement automated testing practices that will enhance testing of our products, and will help provide consistent, timely and predictable releases to our customers (internal and external).
  • Help evaluate and determine overall approach, tools, framework and scope of automated testing.
  • Help define framework development and maintenance tasks, timeframes, etc., and help manage applicable tasks. Create framework, and document approach.
  • Help determine scripting priorities, then create scripts according to priority.
  • Mentor others on scripting process and best practices.
  • Develop strong understanding of product functionality, inter-relations between functionality, and inter-dependencies between product modules.
  • Collaborate with other QA team members, developers and project managers to help ensure projects are completed according to schedule.
  • Other tasks as assigned by management.


  • Bachelor's Degree in CS (or similar technical degree) or equivalent years of related work experience
  • 1-3 years (or more) experience in Software Quality Assurance
  • 1-3 years experience with test automation (both scripting and frameworks preferred)
  • Experienced with Selenium or Cypress,
  • Experience coding in JavaScript
  • Experience coding in Java (preferred)
  • Track record of delivering high quality products according to requirements and schedule
  • Ability to mentor other team members
  • High emotional intelligence
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical product requirements to determine what new test cases are required to ensure product meets requirements
  • Ability to evaluate tools for possible future adoption
  • Ability to work effectively in team situations as well as independently

Preferred but Not Required

  • Experience with Mocha, SuperTest, Chai, Node.js, PHP, SQL
